Worth a visit three floors of antiques and collectibles with architectural and garden salvage adjacent. I would advise parking in Waitrose, free for three hours as the emporium is located on a busy corner of this small charming Georgian town close to Bedford and Wrest Park. The emporium was extremely cluttered what ever you do dont bring young children. It was hard to locate the proprietors when trying to make a purchase. There was a lot of over priced brown furniture in there as well as reproduction cast metal plaques and collectibles. If you are looking for Clarice Cliff or Lalique forget it, but if you are looking for antique brass and lighting or costume jewellery its well worth a visit and perseverance can result in finding some great buys. I purchased a late 40s soda syphon for 10 that are fetching 30 on eBay.
What a great place.... Been meaning to visit here for a while after being recommended to me.. Well we had a child free day so decided to go for a visit ... we were very impressed prices seemed very reasonable. And the staff were very helpful . Everything from signs and lamps to furniture and taxidermy.
This shop has everything if you like anique and unusual things this is the shop
Very good experience , helpful staff. Full of vintage and antique objects. Well worth the trip.
If you like antiques/vintage goods then this is the place to be. The younger chap is happy to cut a deal but the older lady will only take the price on the ticket. Still, I could shop here all day every day. Well worth a visit
